TI-3D : Funded Research Projects
TI-3D has made significant progress toward its goal of increasing collaboration between chemists, biochemists, chemical engineers, and medical researchers. Scientific collaboration requires a solid foundation of research funding, and TI-3D’s steering committee made the decision to utilize a large portion of the Welch Foundation’s grant to fund “seed grants” at UT. A total of $2,165,000 in seed funding has been awarded to TI-3D researchers investigating issues in protein expression and purification, high throughput screening, and chemistry and molecularly-targeted therapeutic development.
